EXPERIENCE

Karen Sein Ohn, M.D. is board certified in gastroenterology and provides care for patients with digestive system concerns.

As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Ohn performs colonoscopies, diagnostic endoscopies, esophageal mobility studies, occult blood testing and more. Some of the conditions she treats include cirrhosis, colon polyps, diverticulitis, GI bleeding, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease, peptic ulcers, ulcerative colitis, along with Hepatitis B and C.

Before joining Deaconess Illinois Specialty Clinic, Dr. Ohn was a locum gastroenterologist traveling from Michigan. She graduated from the University of West Indies and completed her fellowship at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn, in Brooklyn, NY and her Residency at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center at Columbia University in New York, NY.
